Mifra Sadikeen, host of popular podcast, Raise the Bar, and weekly columnist for The Sun (Daily Mirror) has been recognised at the IMRA Awards 2026, receiving the Media and Communications Award for her contribution and impact across performance, sports, wellness and identity. The recognition marks another milestone in a body of work spanning more than a decade, during which Sadikeen has built a distinctive presence across business, media, wellness and personal development.

Her professional journey includes building and leading GAIA Skin Naturals Sri Lanka as its Managing Director before expanding her work in media and communications. Today, through her writing and Raise the Bar, Mifra has developed a platform focused on performance, resilience, discipline, mindset, identity and the pursuit of excellence.

As a weekly columnist for The Sun (Daily Mirror), Sadikeen uses her writing and the extensive digital reach of Wijeya Newspapers Limited to explore ideas that encourage individuals to recognise their potential, strengthen their mindset and build exceptional lives. A significant part of that mission has been developed through Raise the Bar, the podcast and interview platform hosted by Mifra.  Since its inception, Raise the Bar has featured in-depth conversations with more than 40 high-performing individuals from a range of professional, sporting and personal backgrounds. The conversations go beyond conventional accounts of achievement, exploring the discipline, resilience, sacrifices, setbacks and mindsets behind sustained performance and success. By bringing these experiences to a wider audience, Raise the Bar seeks to make the lessons of high performance accessible and relevant to people at different stages of their own journeys.

Mifra’s work is also closely connected to Sri Lanka's evolving sporting and wellness landscape. Through media, she continues to amplify meaningful stories and conversations around physical and mental strength, personal identity, wellbeing and continuous growth. Her approach is underpinned by a philosophy of leading by example. Discipline, strength, consistency and self-development are recurring themes across both her writing and conversations, with an emphasis on translating ideas into everyday practice.

The Media and Communications Award at the IMRA Awards 2026 recognises this broader contribution, combining media, storytelling and purposeful communication to create positive impact beyond traditional measures of professional success. For Mifra, the recognition represents not simply an individual achievement but an acknowledgement of the growing importance of conversations around performance, wellness, sport and identity in contemporary Sri Lanka.

Through her columns and the continued development of Raise the Bar, she remains focused on creating conversations that challenge people to think bigger, strengthen their standards and pursue lives grounded in purpose and excellence. The IMRA Awards 2026 recognition adds another chapter to that journey, and to a philosophy reflected in the name of the platform itself: to continually Raise the Bar.
