Some visual effects could have been better, and the screenplay occasionally loses focus while balancing action, politics, and emotional drama. Although the emotional core is present, it does not always receive the depth it deserves.

One disappointment for many Sri Lankan fans, however, was the absence of the special tribute end card that had been widely shared on social media. Fans had eagerly expected to witness the emotional montage featuring memorable moments from Vijay’s illustrious career, which many had already seen circulating online. As a tribute to the actor and his fans, it was expected to be a fitting conclusion to his final film. Its absence in Sri Lankan theatres left many wishing they had experienced that emotional farewell on the big screen as well.

As a Thalapathy fan, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of Jana Nayagan. At the same time, there was a deep sense of sadness knowing that this was the last time we would watch Vijay on the big screen in a lead role. It truly felt like the end of an unforgettable era.
