Period Proud!

In celebration of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025, the “Period Proud” event marked the impactful conclusion of the Collective Action Against Period Poverty (CAAPP) project. Hosted at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, the research launch on May 27 was followed by a vibrant Kite Fest at Galle Face Green on May 28. The two-day event united advocates, researchers, and communities to champion menstrual equity and end period stigma. Supported by the French Embassy in Sri Lanka and Maldives and in partnership with FPA Sri Lanka, the event highlighted a powerful commitment to dignity, health, and empowerment for all women and girls.
