Award-Winning Visakha Vidyalaya Choir Shines in ‘Echoes of Glory’ at Lionel Wendt Theatre

The Lionel Wendt Theatre came alive on the evening of 10th September 2025 as the Visakha Vidyalaya Senior Choir presented Echoes of Glory! A spectacular evening of music and celebration.
Fresh from their remarkable success at the 2025 Voyage of Songs International Choir Competition in Bangkok, where they brought home three Gold Medals, the Category Champion title, and the Best Conductor Award, the choir showcased their talent and passion in front of a proud home audience.
Under the masterful direction of Mr. Rohan De Lanerolle, the choir delivered an unforgettable performance, marked by musical excellence, precision, and emotion. The event was a celebration not only of their recent international achievements but also of the hard work and dedication that has elevated Visakha Vidyalaya’s choral tradition to global standards.

Under her guidance, her team has achieved significant accolades, including Social Media House of the Year (2020, New Generation Awards), Youth Corporate Award (2021, New Generation Awards) and the Silver Award from YouTube for both Daily Mirror Online and Lankadeepa Online.
