YWMA Marks 40 Years with Launch of ’Our Growing Years’ Documentary Book
The Young Women's Muslim Association (YWMA) commemorated its 40th anniversary with the launch of its documentary book, Our Growing Years, at the Grand Zenith Banquet Hall in Maligawatta.
The publication highlights the association's four-decade journey of empowering Muslim women and children through education, humanitarian service, and skills development since its establishment in 1986. The event celebrated the organisation's achievements while recognising the dedication of the women who have contributed to its growth and impact over the years.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Badli Hisham Adam, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Sri Lanka, as the Chief Guest. Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Pakistan and Iran, Mr. Mohammed Shaheed, delivered the guest address, reflecting on the association's contribution to community development.
The event brought together members, well-wishers, and distinguished guests to celebrate this milestone and reaffirm YWMA's continued commitment to serving the community.
