KALA 2026 Opening Evening Held in Colombo
The opening evening of KALA 2026 took place on 17 January in Colombo from 6.00 pm onwards, marking the launch of Shared Ground: South Asia in Conversation.
KALÄ€ founded by Saskia Fernando opened KALÄ€ 2026 with the introduction to a collaboration with TAKE on Art magazine by its Editor-in-Chief and Publisher Bhavna Kakar,
The opening included a private viewing and curatorial walkthrough conducted by Consulting Editor Tanya Dutt.
The evening concluded with a live performance by Richi K. Bhatia, adding a performative dimension to the event and fostering dialogue around contemporary artistic practices in South Asia.
