British Council Hosts Screening of Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man

The British Council Colombo hosted a special screening of Sir Matthew Bourne’s internationally acclaimed dance production The Car Man at the British Council Colombo Library. The evening featured the 2015 performance, originally captured at Sadler’s Wells, London, followed by the documentary The Making of Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man, offering audiences an insight into the creative process behind the production. Guests also enjoyed readings of classic poems by Robert Frost, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Walt Whitman, making it an evening that celebrated dance, literature and the performing arts.
