Colombo’s fashion set gathered in style at Cinnamon Life, City of Dreams, on the 7th of October as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka made its much-anticipated debut for the season. Presented by the Academy of Design (AOD) and powered by DIMO, the opening evening brought together an elegant mix of established industry names, emerging designers, creatives, media personalities and fashion enthusiasts for a celebration of fresh talent and creative expression.
There was an unmistakable sense of occasion as guests arrived, with the city's fashionable crowd adding their own sartorial flair to an evening dedicated to the next generation of design. The atmosphere was lively yet effortlessly glamorous, as familiar faces mingled with rising stars, reflecting the spirit of connection and collaboration at the heart of this year's opening.
Proceedings began with a stylish cocktail reception, where guests exchanged greetings and conversations flowed over drinks, setting a suitably sophisticated tone for the night ahead.
