The 4th South Asian Actuarial Conference (SAAC 2025), organized by the Actuarial Association of Sri Lanka (AASL), commenced on a high note with its Opening Ceremony held on 18th June at Shangri-La Colombo. Centered around the theme “Brewing the Perfect Blend: Actuaries, the Master Blenders of Risk,” the prestigious event brought together a distinguished gathering of regional and global actuarial professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders from the fields of finance, insurance, and risk management.
The ceremony featured inspiring keynote addresses from industry leaders who explored the expanding role of actuaries in navigating today’s complex and dynamic risk landscape. The event also provided a valuable networking platform, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas among actuarial minds from across South Asia and beyond.
