A new platform for contemporary Sri Lankan art, ArtnArtist – Edition One was officially launched with an opening preview at the Harold Peiris Gallery, Lionel Wendt Art Centre, Colombo. Curated by Mandira Ranathunga, the group exhibition brought together a diverse collection of artists working across different styles and mediums, offering visitors an engaging insight into current artistic practices in the country.
As the first edition of an ongoing exhibition series, ArtnArtist aims to create a space for dialogue, creativity, and collaboration among artists and art lovers. The exhibition presents a range of visual narratives that reflect contemporary themes and individual artistic voices, inviting the public to experience and interpret art in its many forms. The event was well attended by art enthusiasts, practitioners, and members of the creative community, marking a promising beginning for this new initiative in Sri Lanka’s art scene.
