Sakshi Chhabra Mittal and Rosemary Ferguson

In this week’s episode of HAK IT, Sakshi Chhabra Mittal sits down with Rosemary Ferguson, supermodel turned functional medical practitioner and holistic nutritionist. The conversation delves into Rosemary’s extraordinary journey from the runways of London to the world of holistic health, exploring her insights on nutrition, lifestyle, and the importance of wellbeing in today’s fast-paced world.

Rosemary Ferguson was born in Scotland and moved to Rio de Janeiro at the age of seven before completing her schooling in Farnham, Surrey. Coming from a family of homeopaths, Rosemary grew up surrounded by natural health practices. Her grandmother was a pioneer in the wellness industry, opening one of the country’s first health food shops, a legacy that would later influence Rosemary’s approach to nutrition and wellbeing.

At 18, Rosemary moved to London to pursue modelling. Over the years, she graced runways and starred in campaigns for iconic brands such as Chanel, Versace, Prada, Dior, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, and Vogue. Despite her glamorous career, Rosemary’s growing family and her experiences as a mother led her to rethink the foods she and her children consumed. “I realized that many common ailments, sluggishness, headaches, skin complaints, fatigue, stress, can often be addressed simply by changing what we put into our bodies,” she shares during the episode.

After years of experimenting with raw food, fad diets, and various health regimes, Rosemary decided to formalize her knowledge. In 2012, she graduated from The College of Naturopathic Medicine as a naturopathic nutritionist, combining her hands-on experience with professional expertise. Today, she balances her career, family, and wellness advocacy, aiming to make good nutrition accessible to everyone. “You don’t need to shop at specialized health stores or know what a chia seed is to feel the benefits of good food,” she notes.

Rosemary currently consults at the NDU Clinic on Harley Street, as well as in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, and offers phone consultations for clients across the UK. She is also the founder of R Health Club, an online community dedicated to empowering members with practical, science-backed health strategies. Additionally, Rosemary serves as the global wellness Brand Ambassador for Christian Dior.

During the episode, Sakshi and Rosemary explore a range of topics, from the concept of blue zones, regions of the world where people live significantly longer and healthier lives, to the limitations of conventional Western medicine. They also discuss the realities behind popular diet trends, including juice cleanses, raw food, veganism, and high-protein regimens.

Rosemary emphasizes the importance of a balanced, personalized approach to nutrition rather than following fleeting fads.

The conversation also touches on Rosemary’s transition from modelling to holistic health, a journey marked by curiosity, discipline, and a commitment to family wellbeing. She reflects on the challenges of juggling career demands with raising three children, Elfie, Bliss, and Blythe, and how this shaped her understanding of the link between lifestyle and long-term health.

For listeners, this episode offers a blend of inspiration, practical guidance, and accessible wellness knowledge. From understanding the impact of nutrition on daily energy to exploring holistic approaches to prevent stress and fatigue, Rosemary leaves the audience with actionable insights. “The goal is to make health and nutrition approachable,” she says. “Small changes, when consistent, can transform your life over time.”

As wellness trends evolve and people seek sustainable ways to stay healthy, Rosemary Ferguson’s journey highlights the power of combining personal experience with professional expertise. HAK IT continues to provide a platform where conversations with experts like Rosemary help audiences reimagine what it means to live well, proving that beauty, brains, and holistic health can coexist harmoniously.
