Adya by Ashanthi, Celebrating Originality

There are few collections that capture the soul of individuality quite like Adya. Inspired by the Sanskrit word for original, Adya is a bold celebration of personal expression and timeless artistry. Each piece in the collection is a testament to the power of creativity; a curated blend of modern and vintage design, handcrafted with an eye for detail and a heart for uniqueness.

The Adya aesthetic is unmistakable: striking semi-precious stones, vibrant glass beads, earthy wooden textures, and bold brass accents come together in a dazzling array of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. From statement pieces to everyday treasures, Adya offers wearable art for those who aren't afraid to stand out. These are not just accessories, they are declarations of identity, confidence, and glamour.

Recently, Adya unveiled its latest offering, a stunning collection of Kandyan-inspired jewellery, at an exclusive event held at Jetwing Colombo 7. This much-anticipated showcase brought together Colombo’s most discerning style mavens for an afternoon of culture, elegance, and celebration.

Guests were captivated by Ashanthi’s modern take on heritage jewellery: traditional yjvsh, dramatic earrings, and elegant necklaces crafted with semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, and beads in copper and brass, all dipped in 18-carat gold. Months of hard work was displayed as a seamless blend of Kandyan tradition and contemporary sophistication and was met with enthusiastic acclaim; and swift sales.

Ashanthi, the creative force behind the brand, has long been admired for her distinctive design language, and this latest collection was no exception. With its thoughtful homage to Sri Lanka’s rich cultural legacy, paired with effortless modern wearability, Adya’s showcase proved a glittering highlight on the city's social calendar, with anticipation already building for the next Adya collection coming soon!
