In celebration of the late Mangala Samaraweera’s 69th birthday, Former President, Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, his family, and the Council of Management of BCIS (Bandaranayake Council for International Studies) hosted a poignant tribute at the BCIS Auditorium, BMICH, on April 22, 2025. The event offered an intimate glimpse into Mangala’s personal library, now gifted for public access, reflecting his lifelong love of learning and progressive ideals. Attendees gathered to honour his enduring legacy in a space filled with thought, dialogue, and remembrance.
